We decided to go to Crown Center again since Jason is off work and the girls had so much fun last time!  Here are some pics!

Lately

We have been busy with all sorts of things since it is almost Christmas time!  Avery had her Christmas program at school on Tuesday.  We were so far away our pictures are not very good.  I got some video of it and I'm trying to figure out how to download it! =)  The girls dance recital is next weekend and I am sooo excited for that!  Their costumes are so cute.  Also next weekend Jason and I are going to the KSU basketball game with our good friends the Watson's!  Tip off isn't until 9PM so we got a hotel down there!  I'm excited about that!  We are staying at the Hotel Phillips.

We have been hanging out with friends a lot and seeing the Johnson's more.  We have New Years Eve plans to camp out at a house with the Johnson's this year!

Jason's work has a holiday dinner for their families this time of year.  Santa always comes to visit!  The girls had a great time!

Dancing and Boogers

Sorry it's been so long since we updated.  We've been busy!  I had my birthday and recovery week from that! Cameron has had a snotty nose.  She's been pretty good through it all.  We've been wiping the snotapillars like crazy though.

The girls have been learning their dances for their recital on December 17.  They are so cute to watch during class.  Avery is very excited for her recital.  I don't know if she really understands what it is, but she keeps asking how long until the recital and who is coming to watch her.  She's dancing to Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.  She was singing the song after dance class last week.  Instead of singing Rudolph won't you guide my sleigh tonight she's been singing Rudolph won't you be my slave tonight.  It's so funny!

Avery seems to be excited about Thanksgiving also.  She keeps asking me when it is and who is coming and what we're eating.  I've been warning her that the food might not be the best since I'm doing the cooking for the first time this year!  But I'm excited to try.  Thankfully Jason is taking care of the turkey.  That's the scariest part for me.

Halloween!

The girls had a blast for Halloween.  They got to wear their costumes to dance class.  It was tough that Halloween fell on a Monday, but we did it!  As usual Aunt Lorene came out to go Trick or Treating with us.  We got no pictures of the girls actually Trick or Treating.  The best part of it was that Cam got so shy and only said Trick or Treat at 2 of the 30 or so houses we went to.  Very uncharacteristic of her!

Updates, Updates, Updates!

Let's see.  I think the last time I was here Avery was sick.  She is now doing really well and just has a little cough.  Since she was sick we had Cam sleep in the play room in the pack n play for a night or 2.  On night one Cam is yelling for me.  I asked her what was wrong.  She says, "I can't sleep."  I answer, "Just shut your eyes."  Her comeback is, "Shut yer mouf."  Ya.  Needless to say Cam is getting sassier.  She now takes her diaper off at least once a day and usually at night.  I've tried putting panties on her and putting her on the potty, but she's not having that.  She also likes to crawl into bed with Jason and I around 3AM.  We've been letting her stay basically because we're too lazy to put her back in her bed.  We are having a twin bed delivered for her today so hopefully that will help.

Weekend Update and Sickies

Last weekend we pretty much moved in to the Johnson's house.  We visited them on Friday night and then went over to their house again on Saturday to watch the K-State win!  On Monday Avery wasn't feeling too good and it got progressively worse through out the day.  She was having a hard time breathing and had a few asthma attacks.  Monday night was really hard.  So Tuesday we hit the Dr.  Turns out she has bronchitis.  We got her some anitbiotics (which she says is the worst tasting thing she's ever had) and some fluids so hopefully we'll be good for the weekend.

The girls LOVE to brush their teeth.  We are so lucky that Uncle Ian is our dentist.  Avery and I went for a check up a few weeks ago, but I didn't have a chance to empty her goody bag.  The other night Avery said, "Mommy I wanna use the toothbrush we got from Uncle Ian with the Lion on it who looks like he has to go to the bathroom.". Um, What?!  After asking her a couple of times I finally got the toothbrush out of the bag and found this:

Avery has an assignment to decorate a pumpkin for school.  I think the school meant for the pumpkin to be real.  But I thought a fake one could be saved and reused.  Here's what we cane up with!

Weekend Update

This weekend was a relaxing one.  Friday night we all went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant in town.  The girls were really good and ate all of their dinner.  On Saturday we had some friends over to watch the Wildcat victory over Mizzou.  I think we were all a little shocked that they won.  On Sunday we did some house work and went to a birthday party for one of the girls friends.  It was nice and easy.  This week the girls don't have dance class so it makes the week kind of quiet.  Friday we get to watch Brady.  The girls can't wait!

Friday Fun

Today the girls and I went to lunch with Grammy and Papa.  Grammy and Papa have been busy lately so it's been a little while since the girls had seen them.  They were so excited!  As soon as Cam was dressed she said, "I go to Gammy's house now!"  I said, "Well Mommy has to finish getting ready first!"  When it was finally time to leave I had to take the baby gate down (yes I keep the kids contained while I get ready).  Avery was trying to do it and pushing me out of the way.  I said, "Avery what is going on?"  She said, "I'm ready to see Grammy now!"  They are so cute!

They've been helping me do my Friday house cleaning and watching Narnia.  They are such good kids!

On a Wednesday

Avery has school on Wednesday's.  So today Cameron and I went to play at the Great Mall and do a little shopping.  We went into Carter's because there was something I was looking for as a Christmas present.  I was checking out and couldn't get Cameron to come with me.  I was the only person in the store so I was asking loudly for her to come here.  When I finally went to find her she was on top of their table to play with legos and throwing the chairs around the store.  Thankfully the workers had kids....

We are starting this blog as a way of hopefully keeping our families and friends updated with what the girls are doing!


Since it's October we have visited the Louisburg Cider Mill.


We have decorated pumpkins.

Avery has been going to school a few days a week.  She's loving it and I'm loving the alone time I'm getting with Cam.  Today we played at McDonald's and had hash browns.  Then we played at The Great Mall.  More to come soon!
